What do you spray on chicory?
Chicory can be more easily controlled with a post-emergent herbicide called msm turf herbicide. Msm turf herbicide works quickly to kill chicory and is selective so you don’t have to worry about it harming your desired grass.
Can I spray Clethodim in chicory?
If you mix chicory with your perennials, like you see growing here, using a selective broadleaf herbicide over the crop will likely kill the chicory. However, a clethodim or sethoxydim based grass herbicide can still be used safely to remove unwanted grasses.
Can you spray IMOX on chicory?
Imox will not hurt the chicory. What we have found though is for it to be effective the weeds and grasses you are trying to kill need to be young. If the weeds are mature the kill rate will be low. So it should be used early in the season.
