Does Wahoo Kickr have built in cadence sensor?
By design, the KICKR itself measures and transmits speed and power data, and now with KICKR ’18 or KICKR CORE updated to the newest firmware, also calculates cadence. Because of this, new KICKRs no longer come with our RPM / Cadence sensor included.
Do you need a cadence sensor for Kickr snap?

Where do I put the wahoo cadence sensor?
The RPM Cadence Sensor is designed to mount on the inside of the non-drive side crank arm. Placing it on the outside of your crank arm can cause interference by scraping against your shoe. Likewise, installing the RPM on your drive side crank arm may rub and cause interference with your drivetrain.
Do you need both speed and cadence sensor for Zwift?
Check that the signal is supported by the device you’re planning to run Zwift on. You can also use a cadence sensor and, although this isn’t necessary for Zwifting, it’s a useful metric. If you’ve got a power meter on your bike, use this to talk to Zwift and you won’t need a speed sensor.

My Kickr Cores have each lasted between 9-12 months. Wahoo has done a reasonable public relations job by “replacing” the faulty trainers, but every replacement I’ve received was a used reconditioned trainer that they simply patched up and sent back out as a “warranty replacement”.

Will wahoo cadence sensor work with Zwift?
Almost every single time, Zwift detects the cadence sensor for both speed and cadence. The only way to get Zwift to detect the speed sensor is to only spin the wheel without turning the crank so as not to wake the cadence sensor.
