What cassette does Wahoo Kickr come with?

And like in the past, this new one comes preinstalled with an 11-speed Shimano/SRAM-compatible cassette and will work with most 8-, 9-, 10-, 11- and 12-speed setups, and it connected easily to Zwift and several other third-party apps in our testing.
Does Wahoo Kickr come with cadence sensor?
By design, the KICKR itself measures and transmits speed and power data, and now with KICKR ’18 or KICKR CORE updated to the newest firmware, also calculates cadence. Because of this, new KICKRs no longer come with our RPM / Cadence sensor included.
Do I need to buy a cassette for Wahoo Kickr?
As for the Wahoo Kickr Core, it is sold without a cassette, so you will need to buy one. If you bought a Wahoo Kickr, you only need to change the cassette if your bike cannot handle an 11-speed cassette compatible with Shimano’s freehub body. First, you need to check if your bike is compatible with the 11-speed.
How long does a Wahoo Kickr last?
My Kickr Cores have each lasted between 9-12 months. Wahoo has done a reasonable public relations job by “replacing” the faulty trainers, but every replacement I’ve received was a used reconditioned trainer that they simply patched up and sent back out as a “warranty replacement”.
Do I need cadence sensor for KICKR?
Thanks to a firmware update, KICKR 2018 and KICKR Core smart trainers now feature integrated cadence measurement. No longer is an external cadence sensor required, instead, the trainers now calculate the cadence with no extra hardware and transmit it through a shared signal.
Can you use Wahoo Kickr without Internet?
The SYSTM app can be used without an internet connection, even for extended periods. Your workouts will be saved on your device until the internet connection is restored. At that time, the workouts will sync to the server.
How do I add cadence to Wahoo Kickr?
Simply download the Wahoo Fitness app, and then add your KICKR18 or KICKR CORE to the app via the sensors menu. Once added, it’ll prompt you for any firmware updates. It won’t say beta in your case, because it’s not beta as of now.
Does the Wahoo Kickr core come with a cassette?
Before you start riding the Core, you will need to make an additional purchase. The unit doesn’t come with a cassette, unlike the Kickr V5, which is supplied with a Shimano 105 cluster.

How do you put a thru axle adapter on a KICKR?
Install the 12x142mm hub adapter on the non-drive side (label facing out) of your KICKR. Thread the axle washer on the drive side of your KICKR. Gently tighten with a 17mm wrench if required. Lower the bicycle rear dropouts onto the KICKR.
Are KICKR bikes worth it?

Does the Kickr bike need to be calibrated?
This is by design, the Wahoo KICKR Bike doesn’t require any calibration (nor does it support it) – that’s identical to how the Tacx NEO & NEO Bike series works.
How loud is the KICKR?
The KICKR is designed to be relatively quiet, but it is normal to experience a hum or buzz and some vibration while riding, with the freehub naturally producing a “clicking” noise while coasting. Please note that you may experience additional noise and vibration during a spindown or pedaling at high speed.
Can you put any cassette on Wahoo Kickr?
The only difference between the two units is the cassette! The KICKR uses an 11-speed compatible Shimano freehub body, but you can install an 8, 9, or 10 speed cassette with the proper spacers.
Do you need to change gears Wahoo Kickr?
When you increase or decrease the speed of the flywheel, the trainer will have to adjust the resistance. In order to make the shift smoother, it is best to shift a few gears in order to create the least amount of impact change to the flywheel speed.
How often should you calibrate your Wahoo Kickr?
Wahoo KICKR and SNAP require calibration for accurate performance. The KICKR, might require normal calibration once every 7 to 10 business days. However, the KICKR SNAP requires calibration before every ride for accurate power measurement.
Can Wahoo Kickr get wet?
While a pain, take the bike off when you’re done and store the KICKR in a corner inside. They fold up pretty small. You can keep your bike under the tarp. It was designed to be outside and to get wet.
Does Wahoo Kickr have a power meter?
Accurate Power Measurement Within 2%
Wahoo claims that the Kickr Core can accurately measure power, within 2 percent, up to 1,800 watts. Proving accuracy on trainers is difficult, but this one felt inline with other direct-drive trainers as well as standard power meters.
Can I use my Wahoo Kickr without power?
You can ride it without power but you obviously can’t control the resistance or connect it to your favourite app. While the Kickr transmits power via Bluetooth or ANT+, it does not transmit cadence. For that data, you’ll need to use the supplied Wahoo RPM2 pod that is easily attached to the cranks of your bike.
Where do I put the wahoo cadence sensor?
The RPM Cadence Sensor is designed to mount on the inside of the non-drive side crank arm. Placing it on the outside of your crank arm can cause interference by scraping against your shoe. Likewise, installing the RPM on your drive side crank arm may rub and cause interference with your drivetrain.
